ACUC Idea Fair

But where do you find ideas to improve 1,000 things - for that 1% edge - to make your club even better? A good place to start is the Conference Idea Fair! Consistently rated one of the most valuable programs at Conference, the Idea Fair provides a wealth of information for clubs of all types and sizes.

Originally an informal discussion and sharing of ideas "around the table," the Idea Fair has developed into an organized presentation of ideas that are proven winners - concepts that are generating bottom-line results. In a round-table setting, delegates present new ideas and approaches that have worked at their clubs. Whether it's a membership recruiting technique, menu or recipe, marketing strategy, energy saving tip, employee relations idea, or building improvement project, every idea brought to the table has one thing in common: It worked! It solved a problem or created an opportunity for success. Going home from conference with just one proven new idea can pay for the whole trip. And here's a really great idea- cash prizes are awarded to the top three ideas presented, as voted on by the conference delegates. So start gathering your winning ideas now!

To be eligible for the prize competition, idea(s) must be submitted to ACUC Headquarters on the official Idea Fair entry form. Simply fax the form to the Headquarters office with a brief written synopsis of your idea. When you come to conference, bring supporting visual materials (photos, posters, etc) to illustrate your idea, and 50 photocopies of your written idea or printed materials to share with other delegates. If time allows during the Idea Fair session, you may still present ideas that were not pre-registered, but they won't be eligible for the monetary prizes. So jot down all the great things you've done at your club this year-come prepared to share your best, and win!
